Pitching for Management returns to Newcastle, 8th March 2012, Ward Hadaway 4.00-7.00pm

Call for region’s senior executives to come and work with ambitious local companies

Pitching for Management, the fastest growing entrepreneurial event concept in the UK, has announced it will be returning to Newcastle on 8th March. Supported by leading law firm Ward Hadaway and Bridge Club North, some of the region’s most exciting entrepreneurs will pitch live to senior executives, value added business angels and serial entrepreneurs to find people who can help them grow their businesses.

Senior executives are already stepping forward to offer their time, skills and experience to these businesses, throughout the UK. In Newcastle, Pitching for Management is expecting particular interest from individuals who relish a local second career opportunity following a forced career change or early retirement.

“Some of the region’s most talented businessmen and women have already booked on even though our publicity machine is only just getting going” said Modwenna Rees-Mogg. “They really love the fact that they can assess which businesses they can offer the most to, without the usual rigmarole of paperwork, lunches and interviews usually associated with finding a position. And they really like the fact that they can meet and network with like minded people with a common interest in helping businesses to grow. We already have case studies of companies achieving 10-fold growth after hiring the right senior executives at our events.”

Alex Shiel, Partner and Head of Intellectual Property at Ward Hadaway, said:
“We are supporting Pitching for Management because it is helping entrepreneurs in and around Newcastle to grow better and faster. Some of the UK’s greatest entrepreneurs are based here and we want to help them build their teams so they can fulfil their ambitions. They will drive the recovery both locally and nationally. We are delighted to be hosting this seminal event three times this year as it provides a simple practical solution to the biggest challenge any fast growing business faces – gathering the team around the business opportunity so it can be exploited to its maximum potential.”

Caroline Theobald, Founder of Bridge Club North, said:
“Every investor we meet talks about their concerns about how to improve the management teams of the companies seeking funding from them. Pitching for Management in Newcastle is just what our local entrepreneurs need – a focused time and place to meet the senior managers they need to hire to help them grow their businesses, on terms that reflect where they are now and where they intend to get to.”

Senior executives, serial entrepreneurs and value added business angels can book places now at: http://pitchingformanagementnewcastle2.eventbrite.com/. The roles on offer will be announced one week before the event.
